Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? its telling me i need orgin to open my game and that orgin is not installed with my sims 4

What happens when the bug occurs? i cant play the game

What do you expect to see? Orgin is not installed and is required to play the game " fatal error"

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

The game does not have a autorun screen when i first put the disc in my computer,It showed the Sims4 Icon i tried to click on it and it would not run i have tried everything but it looks like its not actually loaded on my computer,Then when i first download Origin i had this message

The version of Origin you are using is no longer supported.

Please update your operating system to window7,macOS10.9

or newer in order to install the lastest version of Origin

and continue playing the game in your library.

So i went onto chat in eagames and they said uninstall Origin and reinstall it again which i have done -Then they said you need to clear all the files,so they told me to download Revo uninstaller it took away all the registry files from Origin.

@puzzlezaddict i have uninstalled both of them you told me thank you-Could you please tell me if you can,Why the Sims4 disc is not loading as i thought the game would have installed onto my PC before downloading Origin or is this not the case?

@puzzlezaddict Hi, I have similar issue with my MacBook Air m1. I play for a while. Then the laptop freezes and does not respond to any commands. When I manage to log out and log back in, I see that origin writes such an error. Origin is not installed and is required to play the game. I tried reinstalling origin. But it didn't help

i cant start sims 4 from origin client, literally nothing happens and if i try to run it from the desktop then i get the msg error: origin is not installed and is required to play this game please reinstall origin. This has happened to me bfr and i just uninstalled and reisntalled origins and everything was ok but now i tried the same thing and nothing happens

@Basilhs007 Try running Origin as an administrator first: right-click on the shortcut and select "Run as administrator." Then click Play within Origin. If that doesn't help, run Origin ad an admin, then run Sims 4 as an admin as well, from its desktop shortcut.

@Basilhs007 Try creating a new admin user account on your computer and playing in that. You shouldn't need to redownload anything, although you won't be able to access your saves or other content. (That can be addressed later if this works.)

@Kuudere Same! I didn't download Origin again, because it seemed off, I had no problem an hour ago --- I was literally logged in, logged off for an update (Did you update Sims 4 today?), and couldn't log back on with the same issue you're having.

I can, but you should not need that.. It iss literally a message box saying that origin is required in order to play the game. I get this message shortly after the splash screen of the anticheat. I use the EA app and have the game through Xbox Game pass

I recently bought The Sims 4 on Steam and activated it inside Vortex. I had to do this manually, as it didn't automatically pick up on the file location. Every time I try to start the game up, it gives me an error message saying "Oirigin is not installed, which is required to play your game. Please reinstall Origin." Is there a way around this or does it mean that Vortex only works for modding the Sims 4 through the Origin launcher and doesn't support Steam?
