After disassemble, cleaning mine with rubbing alcohol and packing it
with the Harley wheel bearing grease worked for me. It's rumored that
TT used grease from the Co-Op down the road in Tennessee. One of the
plastic parts was looking kinda weak, but I didn't have the
replacement kit, so I just carefully put it all back together and it
works.

I've also have excellent results with Teflon bicycle grease - the heavier stuff that goes into the bottom bearing. Gotta get my Omni-A into the refurb queue.

I have always likened rebuilding a Ten Tec PTO to rebuilding a carburetor in the old days when we still had carburetors! My Omni D, Corsair, and remote VFO PTOs have all been rebuilt many times. I believe Ten Tec still stocks the rebuild kits. Anyone who loves these old rigs as much as I do might want to get a couple of these kits for future use as I suspect they will eventually become scarce. As I recall they were not all that expensive.
