Chicago Blackhawks Mad Dash to Madison

5K & 10K Run/Walk/Skate

Date: Saturday, September 20, 2008 Time: 8am to 4pm Location: United Center (1901 W Madison St) | Chicago   Hockey is back in a BIG WAY! And Chicago's hometown team will help kick off the start of its training camp and the new season with an inaugural Training Camp Festival filled with activities both outside and inside the United Center on Saturday, September 20, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Highlights of this day-long hockey fanfest include a "Mad Dash to Madison" 5K run, walk & skate.   That's right, this Saturday morning, before the street skates, there's a street RACE!!!   For everyone who's wondered what all the buzz is about speed skating, here's your chance to come out and try it for yourself.   Tried of stopping for street lights? Well here's your chance to see how fast you are.   Here's the link to sign up.  Note: if you sign up before the event you will be "chip" timed, day of sign ups will not be officially timed.   Hope to see lots of city skaters come out and support the first inline race within city limits in many a year.
