Who is the Rabbit Hole?
The Rabbit Hole is a new and growing intentional Christian community looking for a 4th housemate.
Summary Founded in June of 2012, The Rabbit Hole has 2 core values: Jesus and Justice.
Jesus: We believe in the radical, life-changing love and grace of God. We believe that this love is exemplified by God through Jesus, who not only changes hearts, but changes the world. As Christians we are called to worship Jesus, to love God and one another, and to transform the world around us to reflect the love and grace of God.
Justice: Out of our faith we are called to undermine systems of oppression and evil in the world. Every effort of our community must move creation toward the will of God on earth as it is in heaven. Issues that current members have dedicated themselves to include housing/homelessness, re-entry/criminal justice reform, challenging sexism and sex-negativity within the church, LGBTQ rights, disability rights, addressing issues of power and privilege, dismantling institutions of racism, classism and ageism.
Theses 2 core values shape how we view the world and our community. We have identified branches that extend from these values that we intentionally and continually reflect on together: Race, Class, Sex, Food, and Body.
Things that we are: family, intentional, new, fun, wonky, spacious, yellow, cat-people, 3rd fl walk up, vegan friendly, east pilseners, foodies, progressive, drinkers of warm beverages and cheap wine, gardeners to be, world travelers, homebodies, silly
Things that we do: eat, catalogue our extensive library, pray, play cards against humanity (or apples to apples in mixed company), take care of each other when we are sick, share our lives, sunbathe on the roof, watch movies or tv shows together, drink!, grill on the roof, host a weekly bible study, write on our chalk wall, encourage one another, vision the future of the community, depend on one another for support, challenge norms of the single family (or person) household
