Good morning,

David Eads at Free Geeks suggested that I contact you  - I am one of the co-organizers of Chicago Net Tuesday
Meetup group. We're part of Netsquared, whose mission is to help create an environment where technology has
a greater impact on the social good.

I am e-mailing you to ask if you would be willing to host one of our meetings early in 2012, either on January 10th
or February 14th. (We meet on the second Tuesday of every month). We normally ask for a 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
time (for us to meet, network, and have a presenter). However, since we know you have a regular 7:00 pm open
house, would be more than willing to turn over part of our meeting to having our members participate.

We usually have between 10 - 25 people per meeting (with an average of about 10); we would promote it to
our network; all we're asking is a site.

Please feel free to contact me at gordon....@gmail.com if you have any questions; otherwise, look
forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Gordon Dymowski

Sacha,

My apologies for getting back to you so late - I'm in the process of having discussions with my group re: moving the date for one month.

I hope to have an answer to you by Monday or Tuesday - I hate keeping you delayed, but did not want to just leave this
hanging.

Thanks,
Gordon

Hi Gordon,

Your group sounds like exactly the kind of people we like to support by donating meeting space.  Unfortunately Tuesdays are never a good night for us to host people, we have our weekly open house, board meeting, and members' meeting every Tuesday night from 6pm to whenever people go home (after 2am this week).

If you can change to a Monday or Thursday, those days are generally free (or just look at our calendar for open days).

Warm regards,

Still not clear on why it's Monday...not complaining, just curious.

Heidi,

Unfortunately, Tuesdays are Pumping Station One's business day, so they were not able to accommodate us on any Tuesday in January. I simply chose Monday more out of convenience than anything else.

Looking forward to hearing your venue selection for February - Vince, can you please get a start on finding a venue for our March meeting? (If either of you have any suggestions for speakers, just say the word)

Gordon,

No problem on Monday. I will post about it a bit today, tomorrow and Tues so folks are aware.

I tweeted to Wendy of Analysis Exchange and to Keidra about Feb. Have you heard back from Wendy yet? If not, I will follow up. And I will be meeting with Keidra this week and will ask her as well for the 14th. She is a participant in Analysis Exchange so there is (prepare for buzz word) synergy there already for them to present together.

I will start going through my lists of connections to find other speakers, and venues for the Feb meetup and beyond.

Heidi,

Thanks - I'll be sure to tweet tonight and tomorrow as well.

Wendy did say that she would be interested and willing to present in February (I can forward you the e-mail if you need it). She mentioned
inviting Dorothy from ITA; I think having them and Keidra (Chaney?) would make for a pretty decent meeting.

I'm not too concerned with speakers at this point; we usually manage to pull together meetings well, but thanks. (I'm going to be
culling my contacts as well). I think if we can get venues lined up (and Carl at CNT indicated that we could use their room barring
any other commitments on their part).

Thanks,
Gordon
