Planning Next Few Meetings

Everyone,

Hopefully, I should have some response to this e-mail; otherwise, if nobody answers, I'm just going to go ahead and 

take charge!

First, December - any suggestions for venue? I'll follow up to see if District Bar is available, but am open to

other suggestions. (I was going to suggest Wormhole Coffee, but they tend to be crowded around our preferred

meeting time, and that crowd disperses around 7-ish. Worked with them on another event, so I'm more than willing

to touch base).

Secondly, touched base with Pumping Station One (and you were all copied) - they're open, but would like us to

consider a Monday or a Thursday, since they're busy on Tuesdays. Do we want to consider either

• doing January or February's meeting on a Monday or Thursday, or
• keeping Pumping Station One as a possible alternative for other events?

(I also have a tentative OK from David Eads to speak - I can always set up a session at Next Door on Diversey

if needed)

Thirdly, John Holton of the Better Boys Foundation is my old boss (from "back in the day') - I would be

more than willing to contact him to see if he would be willing to host in February or March. (I can also ask

Tech Nexus to see if they are willing to host - we've had some issues with them in the past).

In addition, I'll also be presenting to the Chicago SEO group on Creating Unique Content on 10/29 - I've

been doing some pro bono work for the organizer, and am more than open to putting you on my guest

list to attend. (In addition, I'll be asking him for possible non-profit/hosting contacts). 

Finally, I think we should come out against Occupy Wall Street and support bankers and the financial industry.
