"Make Hip Hop, Not War" this Saturday

MAKE HIP HOP NOT WAR! Sat June 12th, 3-9pm Murphy Hill Gallery 3333 W Arthington St. Chicago IL 60624 There is a war going on. In our streets. In our schools. Overseas.  We won't stop until we have equal rights, justice and peace! And that's the way it is. *Hip Hop documentary *Mini Mural Showcase *Workshops by World Can't Wait! and Stockyard Institute *Dance and Spoken Word Performances *Bboy battle *Blackbook battle *Performances by: Azteca, Soul Emcees, Stoney Island and more, more, more! We strongly encourage everyone to attend this event. It will include displays and performances by prominent local hip hoppers as well as films and workshops by social justice groups. There will also be art and performances by Chicago's youth: up and coming hip hoppers and activists. The event is free but donations will be accepted to help send American Hip Hoppers to tour in Palestine and connect with Palestinian youth who have embraced hip hop as a form of political expression.
