Dear Friends in the Labor Movement,
We need your support and financial contributions to help make "May Day March and Rally 2012" possible.
The Occupy Chicago Labor Working Group, unions, community organizations, student organizations and immigration reform advocates are planning a March
and Rally on Tuesday May 1st. We will assemble at Union Park and march to Federal Plaza at 1 PM, and rally at Federal Plaza at 3:30 PM.
The theme for this year's March and Rally will be "We are workers. We are Students. We are Documented and Undocumented. We are Workers. We are Occupiers.
They are Detaining Us. They are Shutting Down our Clinics. They are Closing our Schools. They are Taking our Wealth. They are Busting our Unions.
Yes to Legalization. Yes to Unionization. No to Corporate Control. Jobs for All Now".
Your financial contribution will help offset the cost associated with liability insurance, stage, sound, and permit fees.
Attached to this email you find a letter from Susan Hurley, Executive Director- Chicago Jobs with Justice, asking for financial support from organized labor.
