THE CRETE VILLAGE BOARD VOTED DOWN THE PROPOSED IMMIGRANT PRISON UNANIMOUSLY !!!!

From Moratorium On Deportations Campaigns, No Name Collective, Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission and Citizens of Crete.

MDC just got news that the Village Council of Crete IL voted unanimously to end the negotiations on the planned immigrant PRISON by ICE and CCA. They voted to not have a PRISON build in CRETE IL. 

It took a 3 day walk from Chicago to Create, grassroots organizing by local concern citizens in Crete, mass organization at the local level to mobilize hundreds of citizens against the proposed prison, an lastly an spontaneous SHUT DOWN ICE - ACTION [NO DIALOGUE WITH STATE TERROR] held on May 21, which in deed shut down ICE!
