 The Latino and African American community come together to support the victims of the disaster in Haiti

 Our Lady of Guadalupe Anglican Mission and the Rainbow Push Coalition are calling for a press conference to announce the shipment of 90 tons of food, water and medicine as humanitarian aid to Haiti. Father Jose Landaverde says that this effort to send humanitarian aid to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti is a joint effort of the Latino Community and the African-American Community in Chicago.  The press conference will take place at 3442 W. 26th Streets in Chicago, Illinois 60623, this Thursday February 11, 2010 at 11: 00 am. After the press conference the trucks loaded with the donations will depart en route to Haiti. The press conference will be attended by a number of community leaders and organizations as well as the Reverend Jesse Jackson.
