How
have American soldiers' and veterans' views about the Afghanistan war changed
since it began 10 years ago?
David
Van Dam and Tyler Zabel of Iraq Veterans Against the War describe how they
turned against the wars in an interview with Andy Thayer of the Gay Liberation Network. Van Dam is the leader of IVAW's Chicago
chapter and Zabel is a former soldier who became a conscientious objector and
gave up all of his GI benefits rather than be deployed to Afghanistan and fight
a war he no longer believed in.
