Estimados Amigos:
Los miembros de “Comunidad de Chicago y Derechos Laborales” queremos agradecer el apoyo que nos han bridado en nuestro aniversario, con lo recaudado hemos de seguir adelante con nuestro trabajo a favor de la comunidad hispana en el estado de Illinois.
La celebración de nuestro segundo aniversario significa para nosotros un compromiso de lucha y de continuar con nuestra tarea de educación y defensa comunitaria.
Queremos informarles que los dos últimos años hemos atendido a más de 2000 personas que se han acercado con nosotros para que les ayudáramos en alguna forma, uno de nuestros principios es que “quien entra por nuestras puertas debe de salir con algún recurso, solución u orientación”.
Por nuestro trabajo muchos compañeros trabajadores han recuperado sus salarios, han mantenido sus puestos de trabajo o han mejorado sus condiciones laborales. Todo esto es en beneficio de nuestra comunidad pues significa que estos trabajadores pudieron gastar más en nuestra comunidad, en nuestros barrios, pudieron tener mejores condiciones de vida ellos y sus familias y mejorado sus condiciones de trabajo.
Nuestro Compromiso:
Chicago Community and Worker’s Rights es una organización dirigida por trabajador@s, para trabajador@s - sin importar estatus migratorio- dedicada a educar, fomentar el liderazgo, y recolección de recursos para desarrollar herramientas de organización y estrategias colectivas de resistencia contra el abuso patronal, hacia condiciones justas de vida para nuestras familias.

The Members of "Chicago Community and Workers’ Rights” wants to thank you for the support we received on our anniversary. With the proceeds we plan to continue our work on behalf of the Latino community in the state of Illinois.
Celebrating our second anniversary means for us a commitment to continue the struggle and our task of community education and advocacy.
We want to let you know that in the last two years we have worked with over 2000 people who have approached us for support, following one of our values that "anyone who walks through our doors should leave with resources, a solution, or guidance."
Due to our work many fellow workers have recovered their earned wages, have kept their jobs or have improved their working conditions. This is the benefit of our community because it means that these workers were able to spend more on our community, our neighborhoods, might have a better life themselves and their families and improved their working conditions.

Vision Statement:
At the CCWR our vision is that of a community where worker’s rights are respected, including earning a living-wage and having medical benefits; where labor laws are just and followed by employers and companies; where unions and labor rights organizations are worker-led, and have the resources and power to keep government and industry accountable; where independent, working collectives and worker-owned businesses are able to thrive and are respected; and where all communities, including immigrant communities, have full rights and access to opportunities, in order to be able to fully contribute to a more just society.
