9/2 - Labor Day March Fundraiser: Drawings from the Path to Deportation

[Abajo en español] Fundraiser for the Labor Day Immigrant Rights March The Mission of Our Lady of Guadalupe will host an event to raise funds for the immigrant rights march to be carried on in Labor Day, when we will march for Legalization for All, saying No to Polimigra and No to E-Verify. The fundraiser will take place Wednesday, September 2nd, between 7 and 11 pm at La Casa Michoacan, 1638 S. Blue Island Ave., Pilsen Chicago. A bank account has been opened to receive the donations. Please, write your checks to the Justice Mission. During the event, together with receiving donations and pledges, will be selling food and drinks, enjoying live music, and auctioning the drawings of Luis León. He is an undocumented worker who spent 6 months in jails after being arrested by the polimigra in a traffic stop. There, he made these drawings, featured by La Raza Newspaper (follow this link http://www.impre.com/laraza/1/1/1/en-un-centro-de-detencion-140039-1.html), and now he has donated them to the organizing of the march. For the march organizing, Orlando Sepúlveda Thanks.   [En Español] Recaudación de fondos para la marcha inmigrante del Día Laboral La Misión de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe realizará un evento para recaudar fondos para la marcha inmigrante que se llevará a cabo en el Día Laboral, cuando marcharemos por la Legalización para Todos, diciendo No a la Polimigra y No al E-Verify. La recaudación de fondos se realizará el miércoles, septiembre 2, entre las 7 y las 11 pm, en las Casa Michoacán, 1638 S. Blue Island Ave., Pilsen, Chicago. Durante el evento, junto con recibir donaciones, estaremos vendiendo comida y bebidas, disfrutando  de música en vivo, y rematando los dibujos de Luis León. Él es un trabajador indocumentado que llegó a la cárcel por seis meses luego de ser arrestado por la polimigra en una parada de tráfico.
