THE MEXICAN & LATINO COMMUNITY PROTESTS THE PARTICIPATION OF THE
AMERICAN JEWISH COMMITTEE WITH THE MEXICAN FINE ARTS MUSEUM
PLEASE JOIN CAMI IN PROTESTING ISRAELI LOBBY AT THE MEXICAN FINE ARTS MUSEUM
5:30-6:45 PM LEAFLET/PICKETSOME MAY GO INSIDE. THE MUSEUM IS IN ZAPATA PARK ON
19TH ST. BETWEEN WOOD AND WOLCOTT. JUST GET OFF THE PINK LINE AT 18TH ST & ITS
AROUND THE CORNER

We are here today to protest the museum's collaboration
with the American Jewish Committee whose only purpose is to promote the state of

Israel to the Latino community.The AJC is not Latino, nor artistic,nor cultural,

it is political.
We protest the the Museum's invitation to this organization.We oppose the Museum

Director, Carlos Totolero and all the Latino
aldermen & Congressmen who have gone to Israel at the
invitation of this
organization. Our people have
nothing in common with the state of Israel.
We as Mexicanos identify with the Palestinians who like our ancestors the Aztecs

had our homeland, Tenochtitlan brutally destroyed by the invader,Spain. Our
history is the same as the Palestinians.
This struggle between Israel and Palestine has nothing to do with religion;
Christians, Jews & Muslims lived together in peace in the Middle East prior to
the State of Israel. In fact, 25% of Palestinians are Christians.
All the horrible things that occured to the Jewish people occurred in Christian
Europe, yet the Palestinians suffer the consequences.
*1948- Zionist gangs forced the Palestinians off their land & Israel was
formed.Since its beginning,Israel has occupied more & more Palestinian
territory AGAINST INTERNATIONAL LAW.
*Jewish settlers from other countries like the U.S & Europe come into occupied
Palestine & build homes & develop suburbs there. If you see the Palestinian
villages, they look like many poor villages in Latin
America. But the Jewish settlements look like rich US suburbs.
*Is this fair that someone steals your home and lives much
better than you & then when you defend yourself & your
family you are called a "terrorist"?
*We who live in the United States give Israel $3 billion dollars a year thru our

taxes.
*Why should we give Israel money to kill Palestinians? Why should we give Israel

3 billion dollars when we need jobs, schools,etc for people here at home?This is

why it is so
important to let the Mexican Fine Arts Museum know that we don't want Israeli
supporters or collaborators in our community. The Latino community says Justice
for Palestine.
