Resisting Eviction and Displacement
Learnin
g from Struggles in Palestine and Chicago

Friday March 30th - 5pm to 7:00pm - DePaul University Campus, Room 114 in Munroe Hall, located at 2312 N. Clifton Ave.

In honor of Land Day, join us for a panel discussion sponsored by SJP DePaul and the Chicago Chapter of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network, with presentations from Stop the JNF Campaign and Chicago's Communities United Against Foreclosure and Eviction.

What are the systems that force people from their homes in Palestine? In Chicago? How do we resist these systems and how can we build connections between movements?

Stop the JNF
Presentation with Karen Redleaf - Karen Redleaf is a member of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network. As of a recent 10-day fact-finding mission to Palestine, Karen is the national spokesperson for the Stop the Jewish National Fund (JNF) Campaign. She has returned from that trip and has a lot to share. She will speak on how the Jewish National Fund continues to ethnically cleanse Palestinian and Bedouin communities in order to appropriate lands for the State of Israel.

Communities United Against Foreclosure and Eviction
Presentation with organizers from Communities United Against Foreclosure and Eviction (CUAFE) - CUAFE is made up of members from various communities in and around Chicago who fight to keep people in their homes, and to claim land for people who are homeless. Some are homeowners. Some are renters. Some are residents of public housing. And some have been, or are currently, homeless.
