Just a short 3 weeks ago, we were pondering whether to use CB or Zotonic, and I managed to convince my python programmers to start programming in Erlang and CB, my programmers have a strong background in Django, we have already successfully taken huge steps with CB Admin, and are about to release our changes back to the community. We are planning to become major contributors to the project and hope to drive more adoption of CB.

We have introduced the creation of a CRUD from the models and we are working on customized forms too, we should be releasing the changes by the end of this week, if anybody wants to see it in action please let me know.

We are also working on creating a CMS/Blog based on CB that we will also open source.

Glad to hear it! Sounds like good work. One open source hint: where
possible, try and feed changes back to CB itself often, in small
chunks that are easy to figure out rather than rare, huge dumps of
code.

Thank you,

Karim -

This is awesome. If your team can manage the additional effort, I think a few articles to provide more worthwhile information to the growing CB community would also be a huge asset.

Things that are on my mind in the context of your project:

 - Why erlang: this is covered in a lot of places, but spinning towards CB/Zotonic and maybe a little bit about where CB and Zotonic each shine
 - Hurdles you faced: CB/Erlang specific gotchas you encountered
 - Case study regarding your project and where CB excelled and any points where you had to do more work because of CB
 - Details about cb_admin enhancements and your experience within the CB community

Some of these make perfect sense on the mailing list (where some of them are already touched upon), others would make great search results for those investigating CB as a framework for their projects.

Looking forward to your updates and seeing your project in action!
