src directories

Searched a bit and looked through the docs, and feel perhaps I'm missing something basic:

Is there a way to add additional/different source directories? I tried adding a src/foo/bar.erl and it just never seems to get compiled. I can't figure out any place to add additional src directories, and it seems something in the CB bootstrap that looks for specific source directories?

Yeah that's my question. Does all extra source code have to live in lib (no sub levels either)
