Hey ChicagoBoss folks,
I'm sorry to have dropped off the world for a bit. I had informed
Evan, Dmitry, and David I had to check out for a couple months due to
a handful of commitments that simply left no room for CB development
for me.
That said, I'm finishing up the final stages of a long-overdue
Nitrogen release, which comes with a brand-spankin' new version of
SimpleBridge (which will be adapted for CB) - including a cleaned up
API (no more pmod hackery!), and more unified handling of data (some
backends returned binaries, others strings, etc), now it's all
unified:
LILO -> List in List Out
BIBO -> Binary in Binary Out
AILO -> Atom in List Out (for backwards compatibility)
And the new version supports Websockets natively, which means we can
add Yaws support and any other backend (CB on Inets? Say it isn't so!)
without sacrificing websocket functionality.
If you're curious, check out the README for SimpleBridge 2.0,
currently at (2.0.0-beta3)
https://github.com/nitrogen/simple_bridge
or the changelog:
https://github.com/nitrogen/simple_bridge/blob/master/CHANGELOG.markdown
So my apologies again for dramatically disappearing into the mist
without a word. I'll be returning soon (I just need to finish up this
Nitrogen release - it's so close I can taste it).
The community here has a lot of helpful folks who are doing great
answering questions, so I say: carry on!
