Hello all!

I have gotten several calls in the last couple weeks about parents in the South Suburbs looking for LGBT youth groups. Does anyone have any ideas? Parents have been primarily looking for a space for their teens who are coming out and would like a community of peers.

Please let me know if you know of any groups. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Youth Outlook and Q-Yes are the ones that we at RAD Remedy have found so far. Click here for our map.

Super late on this, but an LCSW friend of mine runs a discrete support group for LGBTQQ++ youth in OakLawn (Southwest suburb...)-  More info:

"grow": Ongoing, twice a month, alternating Fridays 6-7pm for High School Adolescents. No Fees, Free to all. Website: http://positivespace.weebly.com/

This group is established for adolescents who identify as gender or sexually diverse (LGBTQ+) and would like to connect with other youth for support. We meet for one hour for discussion about various topics brought up by participants. Guidelines for creating safe, positive safe are included and participants are free to participate or just sit in on the group. This is a space where diversity is affirmed and welcomed!

Contact: Christian Sprayberry. christina...@gmail.com or 314-550-4384 (text or call)
Meeting in the yoga room, 10735 South Cicero Avenue, Suite 208 Oak Lawn, IL 60453

Although facilitated by trained professional therapists; we are not a therapy group and do not charge insurance. This is an affirming social group supported by volunteer, fundraising, and (hopefully someday) grants. See our developing updates, donations, and supporters on youcaring.com.
