Applications are currently open until February 6, for vacancies of the Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability – a 7-member body that oversees the Chicago Police Department (CPD), the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA), and the Police Board.
2 of the 3 upcoming vacancies must be filled by young folks, ages 18-24, so please share out with the dope alumni, youth activists, and organizers you know who would be interested in playing a central role in promoting community engagement and transparency around public safety and police accountability!
Thereis only one remaining info session (Wednesday, January 21, 6:00PM) for folks who are interested in or thinking of applying, so share the registration for that ASAP!
Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!
