For reasons I'm not altogether clear on, I have gotten on Dockers radar, and they've asked me to let people know about this upcoming event (they sent me "free pants", I guess this is how the Chinofather wants to be repaid. So be it). So read below, and stop by! I don't understand exactly what constitutes "free of charge to guests" in the language below, but it can't hurt to try and score some.

I also have mixed feelings on Joe's being there - my barber was beloved by Joe, sr, and forced out of there by Joe, jr. But that's a horse for another time, to mix my metaphors. Anyway...see below:

Dockers® embarked on a three city "Wear the Pants" Tour with GQ magazine that will make its final stop in Chicago on Thursday, April 11th and Friday, April 12th to showcase new product from their Spring/Summer '13 collection. Dockers® has been traveling in a customized Airstream Trailer that is fully stocked with a wide range of khaki style options in various fits and colors-- all of which will be available free of charge for guests.

GQ’s Executive Stylist Brett Fahlgren will be on-hand Thursday, April 11th from 12pm to 2pm offering complimentary style advice, and Chicago-based stylist Naima Naito will also provide tips for the latest khaki trends while guests shop. Grooming experts from the beloved Joe’s Barbershop will provide complimentary trims and shaves for guys visiting the Trailer.

The first 50 visitors each day to mention 'KHAKI RULES' will walk away with a free pair of the latest Dockers® khakis. Anyone is welcome to attend. Below you will find the locations and hours the Trailer will be operating in Chicago this week:

Thursday, April 11th
Pioneer Court:  North Michigan Avenue between Illinois Street and the Chicago River
11:00am - 6:00pm

Friday, April 12th
One Financial Place
12:00pm - 7:00pm

Eventually, I think Chicago will be the most beautiful great city left in the world.
