Hi fellow crafters! This came through on today's Help A Reporter Out
(
www.helpareporter.com/). If you have some good tips to share, please
feel free to email the reporter directly at the email listed below.
We've had some great luck in the past with Chicago crafters being
featured, so let's keep representing!
Hope to see some of you in the magazine!
6) Summary: How do Professional Crafters Manage their Business?

Query:
When crafters turn their hobby into a business, they
frequently
don't think about the business administration side of
things.
But clearly paperwork must be done and taxes must be paid.
This
is addition to managing children, school schedules, and outside
commitments such as church, community, and social obligations.
Crafters must be savvy on how to get everything done when there
are
only 24 hours in a day. If you have a successful home craft
business,
how do you do it all? How do you efficiently manage
your time in order
to get everything done without getting
frazzled? How do you handle the
administrative side of your
business in addition to the crafting side
without sacrificing
your family? Please do NOT reply by saying, "I
have all kinds of
info - contact me." Instead, feel free to write at
length with
your advice and experience. Be sure to include your
business
name and website so I can give credit where credit is due.
Please put "HARO - Business Administration" in the subject
line. I've
always received excellent responses through HARO, and
thank everyone
in advance for their assistance.
Happy crafting!
