Talk Title: IntentC -- An Experimental Compiler of Intent
Speaker: Patrick Boueri, Director of Data Science at Indeed.
Talk Abstract:
It’s clear that the way we build software has changed forever, but some invariants remain. Core foundations of software engineering -- abstraction, collaboration, correctness, and composition -- still matter. What should a mature software engineering project look like in the future? How should it be defined, built, and evolved? IntentC is an exploration of these ideas, with the goal of seeking some answers and learning together. This talk will include prepared materials and demos, along with ample time for discussion.
Patrick Boueri is currently Director of Data Science at Indeed, where he focuses on Marketplace Efficiency. Previously, he worked in data science and product roles at Kalderos and Uptake, both Chicago startups. Outside of work, he can often be found giving architecture boat tours or spending time with his family.
Please join us on April 2, in person or virtually!
