Hi - I'd like to tile my bungalow basement floor and would welcome referrals to someone who does this well and affordably. I'm thinking tile as it seems appealing for resale, good if it gets wet and longer-lasting than paint. Someone on another thread asked about polished concrete, but no replies - that's also interesting. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated!

No recs on installers as we are DIYers, but we put down vinyl like this in our basement and I love, love, love it. It was a relatively fast glue-down, and water spills and (minor) foundation leaks just roll right over it into the drains. Everyone thinks that it is laminate, and it has worn pretty well with an active family. It has a nice warm look.

Oh I meant to add that it is great for basement floor because of how the floors slope in towards the drain, and the product forms to any uneveness of the concrete.
