Pop up issue

Hi Guys, I am working on an app with a pop up reminder, but it won't
pop up when the phone is asleep, then user sees it upon loggin. Same
with iPhone version. Any ideas???

If your popup is in response to a state change on the server, look into the Android Cloud to Device Notification service. There are plenty of examples online, some more useful than others. The C2D example code is also handy. C2D is a Google service so your data will pass through Google servers.

There's an equivalent asynchronous notification service on IOS - APNS, which is implemented slightly differently.

I haven't used it, but I've heard Urban Airship provides mobile async notification integration as a paid service (for iOS and Android).
