Using .mov files with CLAN

Hi,

I had a quick question about using .mov files with CLAN. I am trying to open .mov video files in CLAN, but currently CLAN only plays the audio and does not display the video.

Is there a successful way to use .mov files with CLAN? Would installing the Microsoft HEVC Video Extensions help CLAN recognize and display the video, or would the files need to be converted to another format (.mp4 format)?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Siddhi,
There are actually several .mov formats and many are quite old. The best thing is to convert your video to .mp4. I use VideoProc Converter which works beautifully, but there are many other products that do this too.

.mov files do not play on Windows PC. Those media files should be converted to .mp4, h.264 encoding.
