Kwal Command for Subcodes in Dependent Tiers

Hi 

I have a question regarding the use of the kwal command with dependent tiers in CLAN.

For the child tier, I have coded two dependent tiers: %xSOM and %xCJA. Each of these tiers includes two subcodes:

• %xSOM includes: EYE and EYE:SM

• %xCJA includes: O:I and O:R

I would like to know if it is possible to run a kwal command to uniquely pull out  %xSOM: EYE: SM and %xCJA: O:I.

Hi,

I haven't tested this, but I believe the following command will do what you want:

kwal +t%xSOM +t%xCJA +sEYE:SM +sO:I *.cha

If it doesn't not work for you or if you want to pull out that speaker tier only if both of those EYE:SM and O:I codes are present for that speaker, then please email to me directly a sample of your data file. I will try suggest better command for you.
