Hi!

 

I need to move postcodes from the speaker lines to a %cod tier in several .cha files. Is there any way to do this automatically, that is, adding the %cod tier along with the corresponding postcodes?

For example, I want to transform this:

into this:

    One can make changes like this using regular expressions (RegEx) in programs like BBEdit.  If you know how to use BBEdit or a similar RegEx system, I could give you the command that I would use.

Patricia,

Post-codes are detected only when they are on speaker tiers. If you move them to dependent tiers, then you will not be able to select speaker and corresponding dependent tiers based on those post-codes.

Brian and Leonid,

                            What I want to do is run RELY and get Cohen's kappa based on post-codes written in the speaker line. That's why I'm trying to move them to a %cod tier. Although I'm not familiar with  BBEdit, maybe I can try to figure it out.
