Work in Colombia

Hello.

I would like to know if any researcher or research group has worked on transcriptions with the CHAT and CLAN system in Colombia. We are currently looking for face-to-face or virtual advice on transcription and tagging using these tools. We are building a database of interviews with Spanish-speaking children to support the diagnosis of impulse control from Pereira, Risaralda (Colombia).

I would be grateful if someone could help or contact me with someone who can advise me.

Dear Manuela,
I would recommend using the Batchalign2 program for automatic transcription (ASR) and also Universal Dependencies grammatical tagging. It is at https://github.com/talkbank. Once installed, it is easy to use. Installation on Mac is pretty easy, but Windows can be a bit trickier. You need a computer with a reasonable amount of memory for the ASR part with Whisper. The ASR part produces outputs that are in CHAT format.
