Emscripten targets for WebAssembly

Has anyone had any success with using modern versions of Emscripten toolchain to build Chibi for WebAssembly targets?

I'm trying the latest upstream-flavored one (2.0.6) and it seems to hell-bent on generating a JavaScript loader when asked for "chibi-scheme-static.bc". I haven't had much success in persuading it to generate LLVM bitcode as the build system expects.
