after some research i discovered that the files in it are responsible for the "server" connection, and without it you're stuck with offline profiles.
in my old windows 10 pc it worked well and i was able to sync online my dirt 2 savegames and achievements, but now i'm locked out.
in fact when trying to open the gfwl marketplace app (yeah i know it's almost useless) it launched straight up, but on 11 it shows this popup
(translation: to use games for windows software, windows live id assistant is necessary to login, would you like to download the update?")
that leads to this link that is for downloading "windows live id assistant" but i guess it was removed by microsoft for security reasons or because it's been integrated more efficiently into the os.

Well I've barely been able to play DiRT 3 so idk much. My guess would be Showdown is more on track and not true rally dirt racing. Also people consider it a "cash grab" for them making another installment :P

Aparently GFWL is a pain in the ass to keep save games from as it associates them with a specific live ID that may or may not be able to transfer, some people have success, others lose their progress, best to do some more research
If you have installed game on D: or any other partition than system partition(like I have) and you are gonna format only the system partition and install windows, then you are in luck. I have not played these games, but many games run after the format without registry keys. I have played many games like Max Payne, IGI, etc. and they worked after format without installation. First backup the "save game" folder like I have suggested before and then re-install Windows. Try to run the game by opening the .exe of game. If it runs fine, then no need to re-install the game. If it doesn't work, then you will have to re-install the game.
I also need to reinstall windows and going to save game progress, you are right it's not enough to save only dirt2 savegame you need also save GWF and Xlive directory but I remembered Resident evil 5, this game also need to save GWF but i alos saved GFW and Xlive registry, without registry saves not works

Hello, Dirt 5 crashes on launch from Steam for me, every time I try to launch it. A screenshot of the error message is attached. I receive an error message asking me to submit a crash log to EA, but the email bounces back as undeliverable.
It makes sense that with snow, rain, and wind-blown dirt, exterior windows have more grime than the panes inside your house. To clean outside windows in the best way possible, you need to do some prep. Take out the window screens, and wash them separately. You can use a solution of dish soap and hot water, then scrub gently with a sponge. Hose down with clean water.
I can't see why not. I use a Fanatec Clubsport wheel + DSD Pedals + hydraulic handbrake + sequential shifter or a Fanatec Clubsport shifter so if I can get all that gear running in dirt 3 then you should be able to use a Thrustmaster TX.
The problem i seem to be having is when i start dirt 3 and go into the controller options , the only controller listed is the keyboard,, yet the wheel shows up fine in all other places like windows control panel and also show and works 100% in Assetto Corsa. that is why i am asking this as i thought maybe i had to install something to get it to show it ( btw the game is upto date according to windows live games )
