Hi group,

I'm a fan of NPR's Planet Money podcast.  In general it's always interesting but their Oct 29 episode was really really great.  The half hour episode does the best job I've ever heard explaining US cotton subsidies and the WTO.

You can download the podcast, or listen on line here:

Brian,
Funny you should be doing this. I heard the same show and did the same thing, I downloaded the podcast and listened to it a second time later.
It really is pretty good.
By the way, did you hear This American Life Today? All three segments (or "acts" as he calls them) were re-runs of Planet Money pieces this past year chronicling the decline and death of the toxic asset they purchased: where it came from, who funded it, how was it securitized,
how was it bundled with thousands of others, who bought it, who was being sued over it, etc. It was very good. A little campy in places, but they were trying to make it not sound overly geeky.
