Happy Holidays!  I wanted to send a little email to share some good news.

About a year ago, I decided to live my life in the best possible ways.  One of the things I have always wanted, but was never able to have, was a family.  This year, I have been on a (hard) journey to change that.  Since February, I have been under the treatment of a doctor and I am very excited to announce that I am pregnant!  This is really a dream come true for me. My family and close friends have been wonderful and supportive of this decision.  I am due in July and have enjoyed the "pregnancy thing" so far.  I am looking forward to all the joy (and hard work) that is yet to come.  This does mean some changes for me... skipping the Boundary Waters Trip for the first time since 1999, missing some of my Summer Fun sessions with the kids at church andthere are lots of things I still need to learn about CHANGE!  But, still, I am really happy to start this new chapter in my life!

I have made some official announcements at church and to my family, but wanted to be sure to share this good news with you too!

I hope you are well and happy and that you also are living your life in the best possible ways.

Love,
Shannon

What exciting news, Shannon!  Another little UCCer.  A great way to end the year and look forward to the new.  Many blessings upon all in the family.  Do take good care of yourself as you learn about change -- and keep us posted as the months go by.

A much blessed New Year to all the others of our Chiapas group.  It is good to stay in touch.

Peace,  Han and John
