Dear all,

Version 11.0.3 of the CHIANTI IDL routines has been released. The new routine ch_continuum has been added for computing the total continuum emission (rather than call freefree, freebound and two_photon separately). Some minor bugs have been fixed for the DR suppression routines and for the isothermal routine. The input sngl_ion= has been added to make_chianti_spec, which allows the continuum to be computed for individual ions.

The updates should be available in Solarsoft within a day or two, otherwise a tar file of the IDL routines is available from our download page (https://www.chiantidatabase.org/chianti_download.html).

The most recent versions of the IDL routines can always be obtained through our GitHub repository https://github.com/chianti-atomic/chianti-idl.

You can check which version of the IDL software you have by doing:

IDL> print,ch_get_version(/idl)
