Hi Mark,

I saw your name in the CMExpats club publication and wanted to contact you with some questions.

I am new to CM and am wanting to do some gardening.  Even though I'm an experienced gardener, I am not familiar with this growing climate.....i.e. when to plant what.  I also don't know where to purchase things like fertilizers and chemicals to kill stuff like scale.  My current problem is how to keep the snails from eating the seedlings......aargh...just ate all my squash plants.  I put sand around them as an abrasive to the snails and that did not work.  I am aware of the beer in a bowl trick, but there are SO MANY snails here, I doubt that will work.

I also LOVE to grow orchids and I'm wondering if you know anyone that can give me a few  ideas on the culture of growing those here.
