Hello Mark.. I have been unable to make connection through Expats club OGA and I am anxious to communicate with english speaking local gardeners who might be able to advise me on insecticides and fertilizers( I fear I have damaged my dahlia plants with poorly mixed spray ( My thai language skills do not cover reading labels or asking the right questions in thai). Most welcome to Chiang Mai!
If you are sure you need an insecticide then I propose a systemic one: Starkle G which you apply as a powder into the soil. A deterrent one is 'Jaleed' which contains permethrin.
