Dear friends of Dokmai Garden,

Today we were closed due to a private Buddhist blessing ceremony. In spite of alerts on the website, blog and Facebook, some plant lovers were not reached, and we feel sorry for those of you who made a trip here in vain.

Therefore we offer a free entrance to Dokmai Garden to all of the members of this mailing list (BCC to keep your security), and you may bring up to four guests! This opportunity is only available on Thursday the 9th of August. Kindly print this message as a ticket to allow you and four friends a free entrance. Kate and Eric will probably be busy running around so the gatekeeper might not know you.

We might need an occasion, so why not celebrate that our 500 aluminium signs, in spite of three years in roasting tropical sun and torrential rains last year, still look brand new (unless hit by a garden tool)?

Come and feed the water buffalo Poi Fai the last longan fruits, get some organic pine apples and enjoy the many birds and butterflies which gather at our irrigated oasis! We have placed a teak bench under the forest mango to allow mediation and admiration of a wild Cymbidium aloifolium orchid, now fruiting.
