Hello Mimi and fellow Story Tellers,

I am the coordinator for the Mekong China and Beyond Jonathan Training which is held in Chiang Mai every Sept/October. I am attaching the course description(also pasting below) hoping you would let the Orality Network know of this opportunity for training in Church Planting Movements. We have a strong focus on Orality in the training and will have presenters and facilitators who have been part of a multiplication movement of disciples of Jesus.

I am affiliated with both OMF and Mission to Unreached People and have been living in Thailand for about 13 years until recently.

Course Description:

Jonathan training is a 2-week all-day intensive training to equip you in how to reach an unreached people group or population segment through facilitating an Indigenous Biblical Church Movement IBCM. Central to course is the idea of reproducible methods and models of church planting and asking the question “What needs to be done to reach my people group? Not what can I do?”  The course content includes the paradigm and practices that are working around the world to spark movements of reproducible and multiplying churches.  You will receive instruction in this IBCM paradigm and spend time developing a master plan articulating a strategy for reaching your people segment. Following the course completion our trainers are available to advise and coach you and your team through individual follow-up communications to help you clarify and the implementation of those plans.

Who Should Take a Jonathan Course?  This course is designed for IBCM practitioners. You should be a visionary self-starting leader who has identified a people group or population segment that you want to reach with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

You should have some or even extensive firsthand knowledge and ministry experience with your focus people group.

You will typically have enough field experience and language and culture learning to make this time fruitful. Typically this is 2-3 years of field mission experience.

You should be open to new ideas and a learner.

You want to solidify your understanding of the paradigm and practices that are  working in seeing many reproducible churches started.

You are passionate about evangelism, seeing the lost come to Christ, seeing communities transformed by the power of Christ.

You are willing to do what is needed to see your vision realized.

Preferably you are in a position to actively pursue this kind of church planting vision or taking this training will greatly aid in Kingdom expansion through mobilizing more church planters.
