to Chicagoland for EVs
Hello EV enthusiasts,

I want to share an exciting opportunity to give public comment at a state proceeding next month that would bring more EVs to Illinois. Your experiences as EV drivers and early adopters is very valuable to share.

The Pollution Control Board is considering adoption of Clean Car and Truck rules (Advanced Clean Cars II, Advanced Clean Trucks, and Heavy-Duty Omnibus Low NOx rule), also known as California vehicle emissions standards. These rules would require manufacturers to sell an increasing amount of EVs here, thereby increasing EV supply and model availability, and eventually build a stronger used market. 18 other states have adopted one or all of these clean vehicle standards. It's time for Illinois to join!

Advocate partners at the Illinois Sierra Club and Little Village Environmental Justice Organization are hosting a workshop this Thursday, February 20th, from 6:30-8pm for members of the public to learn more and help with crafting powerful public comments. You can sign up for this webinar here.

If you feel comfortable writing testimony on your own, you may submit public comment by emailing your comment to Don Brown - Clerk of the Board (don....@illinois.gov) and make your subject line "R24-17" (the docket number) and you can see other examples of public comment on the PCB docket here.

And, if you're interested in signing up to give *oral* public comment in addition to written, more info will be given at the workshop webinar, or feel free to reply here with any questions.

Thanks all!
Neda
