$1500.

Clutch is blown. mechanic has quoted $700 to repair

5 hours labor @ $92 hour + Parts......$460
Clutch parts tension plate etc.............$200

car needs Smart Struts ($300 a side) $600
-----------------------------------------------

Brakes are good, body is fair but has considerable rust due to its age
Scrap metal value of the car is maybe $300-$400?

tension plate,
take apart the transmission

If there are any mechanic readers here
I would be interested in repairing the car myself
or paying a Couple of Hundred Dollars to a private mechanic
(who doesn't need to make a million from a friendship repair deal.)

Mileage is 165k. Might be able to get 250k with the right
driver/maintanence.

You are fucking nuts.

If you think you can get a clutch for nearly any model Ferrari for under
$2000, I need to talk to you asap about some valuable land in Florida for
sale cheap.

Also, a rusty Ferrari usually means you need a new frame.

sheese.

It's a Fiat.

I thinking the car in question is more like this:

eeped alot.

Now what i require of you is not in fact silence but my 1995 wine red les

Ah, ignore my post about the price seeming low for the clutch. Pretty sure
I paid about $1600 for a Porsche in 2001 or 2002, and Ferrari is gonna carry
at least a 20% premium over that, plus, at $3k for an oil change on some of
their models vs $110 for my Porsche, their owners rarely rack up 80k miles
on the car.

but is Matt having a nervous break down or something?

Matt, take a deep breath, inhale, hold it, exhail. Maybe in 2015, you'll read
this and be amused?

I saw Cheap Trick about an year ago, they were the warm up band for Aerosmith
at the United Center. At first we didn't realize who they were, just thought
it was a singer dressed all in white like the good humor man, but once they
started a few of their bigger hits we realized it was them (we thought there'd
be a warm up band before they came out).

Last time we were there we saw Amy Grant, was a long drive and not a great
concert. That place is pretty far.

Congrats. I saw the post about selling the guitar amp.

If you still need $300, I can help you out (I don't want the amp though as we
have too many already).

Also, Amazon seems to have latched on my surfing their guitars and they
offered 12 month financing on select guitars today. The SG looks quite
nice and the LesPauls range from a little over $1k to a little over $2k.

You might check them out.
