Greetings fellow drummers,

My band finds itself in the hunt for a rock/blues drummer--our current
drummer (I play bass in this band) is taking a career opportunity out
in California starting in August.

We are:
Band web site: http://www.triplethreatband.com/
Songlist: http://www.toddh.net/music/triplethreatsongs.html

Working 4pc rock/blues band 20% original, 80% cover
Playing 2 shows/month max mostly on weekends. No desire to do
much more than that.
All have day jobs that come first
All rather experienced musicians
Inst: guitar/voice, bass/backing vocals, keys, drums
Ages 29-42
Practice once weekly for adding new material and original
work. Have rehearsal space in NW burbs (basement of
a single family home).
Professional PA gear and lighting

Seeking:
Solid, experienced drummer who cuts a mighty groove, knows how
to play with dynamics, groove, and feeling,
Shares interest in the material
Drugs or untreated alcoholism are dealbreakers. We enjoy beers
as much as the next guy though.
Available for rehearsal one evening a week on a weeknight in NW
burbs of Chicago
Isn't look to make a living from income from this band
Is a reasonable, affable team player
Must have own transportation

Nice to have's, but not required:
Backing vocals a big plus. Ability to play bass would be
nice if interested in switching off.

If or anyone you know would be interested, please email me!

Best Regards,

DOOD!!!!I hate to say it but you've just described me!
Play drums/bass/love horns/chem-free/engineer/not looking for serious gig/
Even used to play guitar once...but sold it/did I mention I play congas?
(Even have played at a blues jam with them...worked out great!)
Even went and danced to Big Bad Voodoo daddy and got
standing O...well OK, everyone was already standing up, but
the crowd loved to see some *real* dancing by someone
who remembered how it used to be! (yes, I'm an old fart too!)

And dig! Used to raise RABBITS! :-)

GEARHEAD! [4 drumsets (including Mapex Orion); 7 basses including
Alembic/Carvin/Ken Smith/Modulus; Computer/electronic geek...4 computers]
check out my so-called website www.netwalk.com/~bjacoby [actually, I've
cancelled the account but the site still seems to be up] It's listed as
drums and bass
but right now only has some drum stuff on the kit I built. Check out the
"reduced kit" called "jungle kit" used for blues/funk. Sweet!

Only problem...WRONG CITY! If only you guys lived in Cowtown...(Columbus,
Ohio)
I'd be camping on your doorstep!

Good luck anyway....<sniff>
