Black History Month Blues Review, Feb. 29

Famous Maxwell Street Bluesman, earthy Blues singer, and South Side
community organizer, Clarence 'Little Scotty' Scott, has organized a
Black History Month Blues Review on Feb. 29 at East of the Ryan Blues
Club, 914 E. 79th near Drexel, from 4PM to 9:30PM, 773-488-1000;
773-874-1500.

For the music, Little Scotty will be singing as well as Bobby Soul,
Jimmy Pryor and his Double Jay Band, Frank 'Little Sonny' Scott Jr.
playing the percussive house keys, and many other guest musicians
coming to have a big Blues jam. There will be a living tribute to
Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding. Frank Little Sonny Scott Jr, will be
bringing his mobile funky-trailer Blues museum.

Little Scotty will also be having an award show for Men and Ladies
Blues Singers, Leadership, and Promoters.

Tickets in advance are $20 and $25 at the door.

Note: Little Scotty has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
While we all hope for the best, we should realize that this event may
be our last opportunity to be with Little Scotty. This can be a good
way to honor him for his work in many movements in the city and to
hear his unique and great Blues voice.

For tickets or more information contact Little Scotty at 773-752-0601

> Black History Month

Very very racist. And offensive to ALL races.

Offensive to Asians, Whites, Hispanics, and everyone else that doesn't
get a history month.

Offensive to Blacks, because this implies that there should be only one
month a year when people can talk about their history, and they should
shut up the rest of the year.

Offensive to Black Jamaicans, when only African American black history is
ever mentioned.

Offensive to everyone.

We will never start melting in the pot, if people keep separating all the
ingredients in the pot and pointing out the differences in their skin
color all the time! KNOCK IT OFF!

Those that support or even mention Black History Month are the biggest
racist SCUM BAGS of all!
