None of my earliest videos on tape from many decades ago have ever faded.

True. They are also a compressed lesser quality version of the original.

This only happens to people who buy the cheap under $100 VCRs and the made in
China video tapes.
Yes, I have seen it happen to other people, but it has never happened to me.
