technology professionals of the highest caliber. Our client, a high
profile web strategy and solutions consulting firm in Chicago, IL is
seeking highly motivated, technical and inventive individuals to join
its dynamic team of eCommerce professionals. Our client stands apart
from existing eCommerce solution providers by developing tightly
integrated strategic solutions with the operational excellence
required to grow a firm's eBusiness objectives into legitimate long
term profit centers.
Business Operations Consultants serve inour client's Execution Super
Group. The successful candidate will assume a leadership role with
our client to provide clients' core business capabilities required to
launch or run a business, often in a start-up situation. These
capabilities include financial planning, accounting, process and
policy definition, organizational design, legal support, facilities
management, and office infrastructure. The candidate will work in
small, multi-disciplinary teams to translate clients' business
strategy into operational and functional requirements. The candidate
will work closely with the strategy team to understand client
expectations. Conduct market and competitive analysis, as well as
assess a client company's strengths and weaknesses. Responsibilities
involve defining the business opportunity and supporting business
models; and develop organization and staffing models. Work closely
with the client to define business rules, business processes, and
functional specifications. Partner with technical team leads to
develop use cases and test scripts. Advise management on identified
factors that could negatively or positively affect business
implementation (e.g. culture, business practices). Propose solutions
to overcome obstacles. Work closely with creative designers and
technologists to implement integrated solutions.
Requirements:
- Experience with translating clients business strategy into
operational and functional requirements.
-The ability to design key business processes.
-Experience with process mapping, process value analysis, and process
design.
-The ability to display a high degree of pragmatism in considering
alternative solutions.
-A clear understanding of business metrics and their implications to
the client. -Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
-The ability to interact with executive levels in client
organizations.
The ability to work with and manage teams.
The ideal candidate preferably would have an MBA from a top program
and at least 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience, including at
least 2 years in consulting and project management experience.
Candidates without an MBA must have at least 7 years relevant work
experience.
Exposure to the following industries is desirable, but not required:
financial services, insurance, consumer products or services,
telecommunications, and/or utilities.
The potential employee can also be located in and work from either
New York or San Francisco.
