I just got another domain name and went with godaddy because it was
cheap. After jumping through all their hoops and sales pitches online, I
got my domain name -- but I didn't put my real phone number in the whois
registration. I don't want any yahoo calling me so I put in my old dialup
number when I had dialup a long time ago. Anyway, the next day I got this
in my email:

Haha. That's the one thing I truly missed about this entire experience --
talking with the Godaddy Outbound Support Team.

That's hillarious.

The godaddy website is such a heap of trash that I just call them for
everything these days, and ask things like "where do I click".

They seem confused half the time too on how to drive that site.

I do the same with Sun alot too- "I can't file a file". It's actually
faster most of the time since their support site is broken about 100% of
the time and their search has never, ever worked.

Interesting. I've been dealing with godaddy or a ew years now and I'm
amazed how good their customer support is. I'm also amazed at how well
their shit just works especailly being that we don't spend much money
to get what we get rom them. Granted the domains we host with them
only get hundreds o hits per day not tens o thousands but it's good
shit at our level.

yeah, they annoyed me over something recently, but I already forgot what
it was. I use and push others to use them for registration.

Unlike the other places that are even cheaper, I can call godaddy anytime
I want and they will take care of things pretty quickly.

You post through Google Groups, so that goes without saying.
