Sprint Broadband Problems?

I've had sprint a sprint broadband connection for a few months now. Until a couple weeks ago the connection was working great. Recently (for the last few weeks) I've been having mini outages every few minutes that last for 20 seconds or so. If I run a ping test it's fine, and then I get 10 timeouts in a row, and then it's fine again.

I've been on the phone with support people several times. Initially they wouldn't even look at it because there was an 'advisory' for my area. They finally sent someone out a few days ago and he checked out the hardware and declared everything was fine, but admitted there were problems with my connectivity. The tech support people say there are 'degradation' problems in my area and refuse to look into it and will not give my information on when it will be fixed.

My question is, has anyone in the area (I live near Chicago/Damen) had a similar problem? Has anyone else been able to get information from tech support. I'm almost ready to cut my losses and cancel the service, even though I was happy for a while. BTW, I've read about the DHCP problems and have configured my machine for static, this doesn't seem to be the problem (I have the same problem pinging my modem gateway IP from work).
