What article?

In Firefox 3 with the NoScript plugin, it's absolutely straightforward to
turn off Script and a lot of other crap. Web pages load quickly. There's
whitelisting and blacklisting features. IE 7 doesn't do any of this, but
there may be a plugin for it that emulates Firefox plus Noscript. I've
never looked.

Unless IE 8 imitates this, I wouldn't consider it to be advantagous over
Firefox 3 with NoScript.

8 works fine- it just uses lots of memory, but unlike firefox it doesn't
seem to hang all the time.

I had a situation where some poorly engineered software wanted to run on
ie8, but then 1e8 wouldn't run on my OS, Win2Kpro, which I like.

Shit like that makes me want to burn the whole software industry down to
the ground. Who the fuck to they think they are?
