And Milwaukee gentrification has now pushed past Wicker Park and Logan
Square, zooming on into Avondale...

Was this a place you regularly visited?

It went downhill years ago at that location. Service got extra terrible.
It's a fucking buffet, all you need to do is add coffee to my cup once in
a while, or just give up and have a coffee machine over with the deserts
in the weird sneeze guard box that was complete with gross synthetic apple
scented air fresheners. I'm not even making that part up.

The one at Devon was always the superior location. Still visit that one
about once a year.

They had a couple or 3 years of backsliding. I think it started when
Basha died, but last year they really took a turn for the better.

They did have a downturn for awhile, where food wasn't at 100%. In the
past few years, though, they stepped up their game, did some remodeling,
food selection was way better, and they had some good waitstaff. We were
really loving it again, even if the weekend dinner prices were a bit much.

And yes, the Milwaukee/Devon location has always been better, although
their selection was smaller, and it was a hassle to get to for us, as the
Milwaukee/Belmont one was 5 minutes away.
