Thought I'd make a plug for my favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago.
Bangkok Cafe may not have the best Thai food in Chicago, but it is
quite good and very cheap, and the service is friendly. My dad and I
meet for dinner there all the time, and the tab usually comes to
around $15 including a Singha beer for him.

Try the green curry soup (sorry I can't be more specific), the popea
sod spring roll, and mee krob (crispy noodle appetizer, lots of fun).
If you like pad thai (sp?), get the vegetarian version. The chicken
that comes with the meat version tends to be dry.

The address is something like 53 E. Hubbard (just off State, 2 blks
south
of Grand).

If you go, let me know what you think.

Enjoy!
