*FREE* ESL Course for Women

The class is conducted by volunteers, generally retired teachers, who have been trained in ESL. The level is intermediate. The teachers use class exercises and the We Are New York (see above for link- more information about We Are New York) series of videos as well practice manuals. We need committed women (does not have to be victims of DV) for 9 weeks (once a week for the 9 weeks- 2 hours). This will be a good opportunity for the women to learn or improve their English and bond with the other women. I am asking agencies who are interested to give me a list of clients with their names and phone numbers after they speak with the clients, and to let the participants know that I will be contacting them and providing more information such as start date and time. The time will most likely be from 3-5 pm, as I have been hearing from providers saying that this would be a better time, and there is childcare for children who are 3 and up.
The names of committed clients need to be emailed to me by June 15th and providers can let me know if they need more time.
